Taurasi Bosco Faiano I Capitani 2018

Also known as the "Barolo del Sud" (South Italy Barolo), this great red wine is made solely from Aglianico Taurasi handpicked grapes. It is a complex wine, with a vanilla and liquorices flavour on an elegant layer of wild berries. Harmonic, dry and soft, with an intense aftertaste that recall black cherries. The producer

The company "I Capitani" has been founded by Ciriaco Cefalo around 1890 and it is located at Torre le Nocelle, a small village in the heart of Irpinia. During 1920 the vineyards have been completely destroyed by phylloxera and have been replanted. Today the company has 12 hectares of vineyards and a modern cellar where the grandson of Ciriaco, who has the same name as his grandfather, continues the family traditions with success.

Best served with game or red meat. Excellent with seasoned and spicy cheeses.

How to serve it

Serve at 18-20°C in a transparent, crystal wine glass after 30 minutes of oxygenation.

How to keep

Suitable for long ageing. Keep the bottles in a horizontal position in a fresh, humid and dark cellar.
